Hello All!
This is our new and improved very first blog! Just a little about us...
Vuong and I met on eHarmony in July of 2005. He lived in Atlanta and I lived in Houston. Our first date was September 10, 2005 in Dallas, TX. We went to a Rangers game (they lost!) but we felt like we'd won the World Series! Almost immediately we 'knew' and one year and twenty days later, we were married in Galveston, TX. Currently, we are waiting to start our paperchase. We were ready to start in January of 07, but the list of 'changes' was looming on the horizon and we no longer qualified because we'd only been married 4 months. Hope For Children just didn't think we could get everything done by the cut off date. So, we've had to wait until our 2nd wedding anniversary. We're starting everything in June with the hopes that our dossier will be completed, in China, and logged in on September 30, 2008... our second anniversary! We do find comfort in knowing that we won't be the ONLY parents in Hoverounds at our daughters high school graduation!
I was born in Japan (my dad was in the Army) but grew up in OK in a suburb of Oklahoma City. I lived there until I graduated from college and moved to Texas to teach Kindergarten. My family still lives within 10 miles of each other! I am the oldest of 3 girls. I have a son, Grady, who will be 20 at the end of April. Both my sisters are married and have kids. Michelle and Joey have 2 boys... Carson is 5 and Jack is almost 1. Jennifer and Mike have 1 daughter... Maddie will be 9 this summer. We are a very close family, despite the distance between us.
Vuong was born in Vietnam and moved to the Dallas, TX area when he was 4. He grew up in a suburb of Dallas and his parents, brother, and one sister still live there. His oldest sister Uyen and her husband Tom live in Alpharetta. They have 2 kids... Jacob is 6 and Gracyn is 3. His sister Christine isn't married, but we're keeping our fingers crossed! His brother Alex still lives at home. Vuong's family is also very close. His parents come to GA to visit at least twice a year and we always look forward to their visits.
So, now you know most of our life stories, minus all the little details. I'm sure over time, those will come out. :o)
Thanks for stopping by!
